Hope many of you managed to get a break over the festive season. Kat and I did, thanks to Carmelita volunteering to work over the Christmas break. Being my first Christmas in the Village I was surprised to see that many of the businesses shut down over this period. I certainly wasn't expecting the salon to be overly busy but we were; as customers were just as surprised to see that we were open.
The week of the 5th January saw the return of the team and a few more shop owners back on deck. As more families are starting to return from their holidays, we've seen an increase in kids haircuts. This is partly to do with a Back to School promotion (see the home page) that we are running and because people want shorter hair to keep them cooler. Our promotion runs until the end of the month, so you've still got time.
Also check out on our home page regarding our Valentines package for those interested in eye lash extensions, eye lash & brow tinting and eye brow shaping. If preferred, each of these services are available as a stand alone service.
I've also completed a annual training plan with Kat and Carmelita whereby once a month both girls will be doing in salon training with Sinead our Joico Hair Technician. This is aimed at improving on their hairdressing skills of which they will then be able to continue offering you a great service. Today's training covered how to improve on 'consultations' with new and existing clients. Next month they will then put it into practice... watch this space.
Waitangi Day (6th February) the salon will be closed but will re-open on the 7th February. In support of the Rugby 7's if you come in on the 7th February in your costume to have your hair done, you will go into the draw to receive $20.00 off your next in salon service.
